MJF Murari Lal Murarka, a commerce graduate, was born on 10th August, 1957 in Lahan, Nepal. Son of an industrious father Late Parmeswar Lal Murarka who himself was charter member of Lions Club of Lahan, Nepal. His family has been engaged in production of rice and they are considered to be the biggest exporters of rice in Nepal. Their business interests now encompass paints, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, cement, tea, plywood and pharmaceuticals. He joined Lionism in 1978 and rose to become DG in 2016-17. He is associated with many other social organisations namely Punjab Biradri, Hindustan Club, Parivar Milan, Natraj Yuva Sangh, J S Murarka Multiple Campur, Lahan, Ram Kumar Uma Prasad Murarka Memoriak Hospital, Lahan, Federation of Indian Export Organisation.

He is ably supported by wife Rita. He is blessed with son Ankit, MBA from IIM Bangalore and daughter Megha, MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. Both are married to equally qualified persons and well settled in Life.
