Lion Ashissh Jhunjhunwalla , was born on 3rd May 1980 to his parents Nirmala & Anand Kumar Jhunjhunwala at Kolkata. Lion Ashissh did his schooling from Apeejay School and completedhis graduation in B.Com(H) from Calcutta University. He did his Post Graduation in Event Management( PGDEM) from NIEM, Mumbai.

A LEO TURNED LION, he joined the Lions Movementas Charter President of Leo Club of Calcutta Adarsh of District 322 in1998 and when the District was divided he joined the Leo Club of Jorasanko. He won several awards and recognitions as a Leo and was the Associate Chairman- Leo Clubs in 2003-04. He continued his journey in the lions movement and is the Charter President of his home club Kolkata MotherTeresa Sarani, which was inaugurated on 10th December 2006 and was chartered on 5th April 2007. He has been an active Leo and Lion who has worked with almost all the PDG’s of the district 322B2 since its formation. Lion Ashissh has won several recognitions from International, Multiple and Districtin his entire span of 25 years in the Lions movement till date.

Lion Ashissh has been instrumental in planning several signature events as his brain child and has tremendously contributed inbuilding the Lions image in public platforms. Some of his signature events include Gurukul Awards, Dandia at Leo platform, The Great Kolkata Walkathon , Mother Teresa International Film Festival, International Kite Day , World EnvironmentDay , Women On WheelsTreasure Hunt.

Lion Ashissh is engaged in his family business of Textiles and has successfully diversified into the business of construction, event management and pharmaceutical retail. Lion Ashissh is associated with various organisations with key responsibilities such as :-

1.Executive Committee member of Chamberof Textile Trade &Industry

2. Secretary of Apeejay Old Students Association

3. Member of EventManagers Fraternity, Kolkata

4. Member of Marwari Sanskriti Manch

5. Member of TMC Youth Congress , Ward 61

Lion Ashissh’s hobbies include watching movies, Travelling and Sports. He still plays cricket and has even won the Man of the Match Award at the ISAAME cricket match held in 2017. Lion Ashissh has successfully completed his DLLI, RLLI and ALLI graduation and has attended International Conventions at Chicago and Las Vegas. Lion Ashissh was the Patron of Service in 2018- 19 and became MJF in 2020-21.

Lion Ashissh is happily married to NISHA , who supports him in all his endeavours.
